Cleaned, disinfected cabin right off trail system. Trails 2, 13, etc. go by rivers, through tunnel, over high bridge system. Waterfalls. Cabin has a convenient location off paved roads. ATV UTV fourwheeling, fishing, siteseeing, birding, canoeing, kayaking, more.
Come play on the trails, many lakes to fish, rivers, waterfalls, scenic sites, historic sites, picnic areas, woods, wildlife & more. Original Cisco Lake (said to be 2nd largest lake on chain), Cisco Chain area. Cisco Chain, named with Cisco Lake. Most of the 15 serene, varied types & terrain lakes of the Cisco Chain is on the Michigan side. Just down Cisco Lake Road from the cabin, Stickley (historic area) is Cisco Lake.
Down the road from the cabin is the Ontonagon River w some viewing areas off the trail system (cabin is right off trail system). River terrain varies incl areas to hear the serene sounds of the water over rocky areas & as the river takes it turns throughout the woods. The river comes from Cisco Lake (just down Cisco Lake Rd from the cabin driveway) which is part of the Cisco Chain. Then, the Ontonagon River goes through a variety of terrain & has a beautiful waterfall called Kakabika Falls (just W of cabin on 527).
A beautiful scenic site is just SW of the cabin by the Pomeroy Langford Lakes area. Bench seat. Worthy of pictures & relaxing. Also the Grouse GEM area is in that area also. Many scenic sites incl Alligator Eye.
ATV ORV UTV or snowmobile over waterfalls with bridge system or go through tunnel. Great convenient centered location for adventures. Between Watersmeet & Marenisco. Cabin is in Watersmeet, MI Township. Just over the Wisconsin border. From the cabin explore north, south, east, west. Fish. Hunt. Canoe. Kayak. Bike. Hike. ORV. Snowmobile. Play. Relax. Sitesee.
Other waterfalls in area. Yondota (W of cabin). Many waterfalls: Kakabika, Yondota, Bond, Nelson Falls, Marshall Falls, Judson Falls, Wolverine Falls & more.
The Ottawa National Forest is behind the cabin & in area. Out the driveway is the trail system for fourwheeling (ORV ATV UTV) & snowmobiling.
A few lakes on Cisco Chain are boundary waters (on border & use either WI or MI license listed as Mamie, Big Bay, West Bay) & could use Wisconsin Fishing Opener dates (see water regulations).
Great variety of restaurants. Restaurant guides in cabin to use. Fishing tournaments in area. Rental eqpt in area for canoes, kayaks, skis, snowmobiles, ATVs, UTVs, paddleboards, bikes, boats & more.
Fishing: Jumbo Perch, Northern Pike, Panfish, Bass, Musky, Trout, Walleye & more.
Also in area: Lakes of Gogebic (largest inland lake in Michigan west of cabin w south boat landing, use Stagecoach Road & turn left, see maps), Clearwater (some count this as part of chain), Pomeroy, Langford, Beatons & other Ottawa National Forest lakes. Rivers: Slate, Presque Isle, Ontonagon; other rivers & creeks.
Cabin's driveway is a circle driveway that goes out to Beatons Lake Road. Easier for trailers. Beatons Lake is also known for trout.
Outfitter in area to assist with canoes, kayaks, bikes, skiis, snowshoes, maps, store items, firewood, etc. Trails in area for skiing, snowshoeing, biking, walks & more. Sylvania Natural Wilderness Area east of cabin w beach, picnic area, walking paths, pavillion & more.

There was a historic cabin just north of the cabin called Stickley Lodge w windmill, grand superb organ for United States, etc. There are many old time logging, railroad, mining, gangster (Purple Gang, Chicago, Detroit, more) & Ojibwa native stories. History of the Stickley furniture designs & company. Rogers Bar is from the 30s. Old Riverside Inn was east of cabin that had petting zoo, restaurant, motel, etc. Tar Baby Boat (large wooden, steam-driven, woodfed, tar-covered boat) use to take people from Cisco Lake through the chain of lakes. Stories also of Stage Coach Road having one of the last stage coach robberies with Black Bart. Various movie stars (Bing Crosby) & Presidents (Roosevelt) have visited this area. Henry Lake Boardwalk Area (walk out on lake on boardwalk), Alligator Eye Scenic Area (trail, scenic area high up on bluff, by Lake Gogebic), Lake Gogebic Picnic Area, Clark Lake beach & other beaches, mountains (north & west of cabin), GEM Grouse hunting areas, scenic Pomeroy area site w bench, Ottawa National Forest.
Mystery-Paulding Light, mining (even some where you can try some mining yourself or for the children), historic & haunted sites, museums (Land O Lakes, Ontonagon, Wakefield, etc.), Watersmeet Trout Hatchery, ice skating rink in Land O Lakes, beaches at different sites (info. in cabin), shops in Land O Lakes, casino, siteseeing (mountains, rivers, wildlife, scenic sites, waterfalls, historic areas, etc.), forestry office in Watersmeet, old railroad history (Watersmeet use to have a circular train station, etc., book has been written on it), National Copper Boulder site (where copper boulder came from for the National Museum in approx. 1840), sled dog races, fishing contests, radar runs, ORV ATV UTV runs, craft fairs, art classes, wildlife & bird watching, nature walks. Visitor center in Watersmeet by government w presentations, displays, gift store, maps & more.

Old time murials behind their bar. The bar is from the 30s. Close enough for conveniences, far enough away for privacy.
Could see wildlife such as moose, wolves, coyotes, bears, bobcats, eagles, sandhill cranes, loons, blue herons, owls, hawks, otters, ducks, turkeys, grouse, geese, swans, deer, foxes, & more.
Reasonable rates for area & per person. $29 pet fee (one fee only, covers all pets within reason, for all nights). Brochures, maps, mapbooks, restaurant guides, etc. in cabin to use during your stay.
